How far ahead can I book the lodge?

You can book up to 365 days ahead. Booking opens at 8AM that day.

Can I book the lodge at the last minute?

Requests within 14 days of your date go to Reservations by email first, for availability and Park Manager approval.

How much does the lodge cost?

The fee is $250 per day for Franklin County residents and $275 per day for non-residents. The lodge is all day only.

Full payment is due when you make the reservation. Credit cards work online and by phone.

What is the refund policy?

A cancellation 30 days ahead gets 90% back. At 29 to 14 days it is 25%, and at 13 days or less it is 0%. No refunds for bad weather.

What are the decoration rules?

Decorate with non-marring tape or string. No nails, staples, tacks, duct tape, push pins or glue, and no confetti, glitter or open flames.

Can I serve alcohol at the lodge?

Metro Parks lists the venues that can get an alcohol permit, and Beech-Maple Lodge is not on that list. Ask Reservations to confirm.

What is inside the lodge?

Accepted Answer

It has heating and air conditioning, a full kitchen with a sink, refrigerator, microwave and electric range, and a serving window. It also has a gas fireplace, a meeting room with a pull down screen, WiFi and restrooms.

Can I see the lodge before I book?

Yes. Call the on-duty park ranger line for Blacklick Woods ahead of time to set up an in-person visit. No visits on days the lodge is reserved.

Can I come early to set up?

No. Early and late access is not provided, so setup and cleanup must fit inside your reserved time.

Can I have a DJ?

Yes. Keep the sound low enough that it cannot be heard more than 50 feet from the lodge.

Can I bring my own caterer?

Yes. You can bring any catering you want to a reservable lodge. No cash may be exchanged on park property.

Yes, with approval from Metro Parks by email. The truck needs its own power, must be paid in advance off-site, and cannot hand out alcohol.
