How do I reserve the Event Space?

Not online. Use the facility application and call Parks and Recreation to check availability. Your reservation is not secured until your application and payment are received and processed.

How much notice do I need?

At least 3 weeks' notice. You can reserve up to one calendar year ahead.

How much does it cost?

Weekends (Fri-Sun): half day $275 resident or $375 non-resident; full day $400 or $500. Weekdays (Mon-Thu): $50 an hour. A refundable deposit is added.

How does the deposit work?

The deposit is 50% of the rental fee (75% for non-residents on weekdays). It is due with the fee and refunded within 7 business days if there are no damages or violations.

What if I cancel?

180+ days out: refund less a $25 fee. 31-179 days: 50% of the rental fee, deposit refunded. 30 days or less: 100% of the fee, deposit refunded.

Who gets the resident rate?

City of Gahanna residents, including spouses and children. People who work in Gahanna and pay city income tax get corporate resident rates.

What decorations are allowed?

Painter's tape or putty tack only. Tacks, staples, nails, other tape, confetti, glitter and Silly String are not permitted.

Can we cook in the kitchen?

No. The kitchen is not for food preparation or cooking. You can use the refrigerator/freezer and counter space only.

Up to 100 people. It comfortably seats 80.

What tables and chairs come with it?

Ten 12-ft folding tables, two 6-ft rectangular tables, nine 3-ft square card tables and six 2½-ft square card tables. There are 98 red stacking chairs.

No. WiFi is not available at the Event Space.

How do we get into the building?

Pick up a badge at the Civic Center the week of your rental. No staff are on-site at the Event Space.

Can we bring a food truck, DJ or other vendor?

Vendors need city approval at least two weeks before the event. Food or party trucks need approval at least 14 days ahead. Inflatables are not permitted.

Is it accessible?

Yes. ADA-compliant access and parking are on the side of the building, next to the main entrance doors that can be unlocked.

Are pets or smoking allowed?

No. Pets are not permitted on-site, and it is a non-smoking facility.
