How much does it cost to rent The Gahanna Sanctuary?

Non-wedding events start at $525 for 3 hours Monday to Thursday. Weddings start at $1,350 for 6 hours. A $75 facility fee ($150 for weddings) is added.

What is the deposit?

A 35% non-refundable deposit holds the date, with the balance due 90 days before. You can also pay in full at booking.

How do I book a date?

Confirm the date and your start and end times first. The venue then sends a contract to sign. Dates are open through December 31, 2028.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancelling 6 to 12 months before the date forfeits 65% of the rental fee. Cancelling less than 6 months before forfeits the entire fee.

Can I tour the venue?

Yes, by appointment only and only when no event is scheduled.

What are the decoration rules?

Nothing can be attached to walls or ceilings. Real candles, smoke or fog machines, helium balloons, rice, birdseed, sparklers, confetti and metallic glitter need written approval or are not allowed.

Is there a mandatory end time?

Yes. Everything and everyone must be out by midnight, including setup, tear down and clean-up time.

What is in the kitchen?

A prep counter, double refrigerator, cook top and oven, chest freezer, 100-cup coffee pot and microwave. The stove is not for commercial use and cooking with grease is not allowed.

Can I serve alcohol?

The venue has no liquor license and does not run a bar. Cash bars and ticket sales are not allowed. You are responsible for lawful service under Ohio law, with no service to anyone under 21.

The venue says its flexible spaces hold up to 280 guests.

What furniture is included?

White resin chairs (300), 5-foot round tables, 8-foot and 6-foot banquet tables and 30-inch hi-top tables.

Who sets up and cleans up?

You do, unless you pay the venue for table and chair setup or tear down. You also clean up and return the venue to its starting condition.

Is there a sound system?

No. Your DJ should be able to provide this equipment.

No. There is no approved vendor list. You can choose any caterer, DJ, florist or bakery.

Yes. There is a small lot on the south side of the building, street parking, a public lot next door and the Creekside underground garage one short block away. All parking is free.

There is a ramp on the south side of the building with van-accessible parking. An ADA-compliant bathroom is off the gallery.
