About this space
Thurber Center is a two-story multipurpose building in downtown Columbus, next to the historic Thurber House. Rent the Algonquin Room, the New Yorker Room, the Columbustown Room, a lawn or the whole building. Rentals include AV equipment, tables, chairs and a full kitchen.

How they charge
Rooms are priced per hour or for the whole day. Weekday rates (Monday through Friday) are lower than weekend rates (Saturday and Sunday). Weekends have a two-hour minimum. Setup and tear down ($125 flat fee) and an on-site manager ($25 per hour per staffer) are required. Nonprofits get 25% off.
Deposit
A 50% deposit and a signed contract hold the date. Full payment is due 2 business days before the rental. Cancel 10 or more business days ahead for a full refund; 3-9 business days ahead for a partial refund minus the deposit; 2 or fewer business days ahead or a no show gets no refund.

Parking
Free street parking on the Jefferson Avenue oval, with a three-hour limit from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm; no limit after 6:00 pm and all day Sunday. A small free visitor lot sits behind Thurber Center, off 11th Street.
